Ego 04:05
I write books worth of stuff that isn't books, create worlds of beauty I don't share--it's just mine, and only I understand. That's all that ever has been, and to think the mystery used to be enough. I float on top of the self I have created. I want to feel good, and I can. Sometimes I'm just stubborn and lazy, and that's the only way you've ever seen me. I float on top of the self I have created. Be happy with what you have, even if it's not what you wanted, 'cause then it's not so easy to get disappointed... With the self you have created.

Crown of leaves, high in a window on a cold morning Young today, old as a railroad tomorrow Days are just drops in the river to be lost, always Only you, only you, you know Years ago, birds of a feather would arrive nightly Gone, you know, held to another like clutched ivy On the shore speak to the ocean and receive silence Only you, only you, you know You hesitate so my memory fades I'll hold to the first one I wouldn't turn to another, you say On the long night we've made Let it go. Only you, only you, you know. Speak to me slow, my dear No ghosts, of course, in here Pleased to be lonesome, quiet, and clear All is alone in the end

Tomorrow 03:36
My brain is pudding, and my body's made of jell-o, and the air on my skin feels kind of marshmallow-creamy. Everything still sparkles a little, though the sky is falling down. ~ A startled expression flickers on my face as I turn to yet another blank page. Today's gonna be a good day, yes it's gonna. I can tell that it will be great. In January, God sent a blizzard to follow the ice storm. The very next day it was seventy and sunny, but in Knoxville, that's the norm. Why won't people poop in public restrooms or laugh in a quiet room? If you get all As, but nobody knows your name, well, at least you made it through. My throat makes really weird noises when I swallow. I wish I was back in our bed bubble where you don't mind if I fart when we cuddle and I fall asleep in your arms. A startled expression will flicker on my face when I turn to yet the next blank page. Tomorrow's gonna be a good day, yes it's gonna. I can tell that it will be great.

Not Again 07:16
It just can't be. It just can't be. I've been trying for so long to make sure this didn't happen to me. Not again, no, not again. It's plain unjust. I need your trust. I've tried so hard, and for so long, to make sure this didn't happen to us. Not again, no, not again. It's just not fair. It's just not fair. I was complacent, I was fine, all was quiet in my mind, but now you're there. Not again, no not again. I don't get it. No, I don't get it. And I'll admit, there was some shit that I didn't want to happen, but it did. Happened again, it always does. Happened again. I fell in love. Love is patient. Love is kind. But it's just not the right time, but still you're here. If love is patient, and love is kind, it will come back when it's time, so have no fear. Love comes again, it always does. Love comes again. It always does.

Om. He said to the top of the mountain go. Up to the top of the mountain go. He said to remember that this is a journey, and you have chosen to travel steeply, and if you ever tire of walking, you need only breathe in the mountain air deeply.

Pack up I'm straight Enough Oh, say say say... One night to be confused One night to speed up truth We had a promise made Four hits and then away Both under influence We had divine sense To know what to Say Mind is a razorblade Wait, they don't love you like I love you Ma-a-a-aps, wait They don't love you like I love you To call for hands from above to lean on Wouldn't be good enough for me, no. Made off Don't stray My kind's your kind I'll stay the same Pack up Don't stray Oh, say say say Oh, say say say One night of magic rush The start a simple touch One night to push and scream And then release Ten days of perfect tunes The colors red and blue We had a promise made We were in love Wait! They don't love you like I love you Ma-a-a-aps, wait They don't love you like I love you To call for hands from above to lean on Wouldn't be good enough for me, no. And you... you knew the hand of the devil (They don't love you like I love you and) You kept us awake with wolves teeth Sharing different heartbeats in one night They don't love you like I love you Wait! They don't love you like I love you Ma-a-a-aps, wait They don't love you like I love you To call for hands from above to lean on Wouldn't be good enough for me, no.

There was a girl with stars on her toes and wherever she walked, she swore she would float far and up away, far and up away from the perils of Earth. She knew her friend would stay by her side on fae wings and evening breeze, she knew she could fly and her tears would wash away, tears would wash away all the perils of Earth. And once a boy with his feet on the ground on their heels he would follow, his head in the clouds and his mind would think away, mind would think away all the perils of Earth.

Seven 03:41
Let the fear dissipate, fly away on slowed breath. The waterfall calls to wish it would rain, then summons it. The mundane and the mind are wearing away at me, exposing a glint of opal underneath. ~ Is this it? Is this all? Is there more? Is this not what I came here for? Is this it? Is this all? Is there more? I forgot what I came here for. Pursuing the shadow that dances behind, sheltering my soul from the weight of the coins of light on my back. Silence. She is banished. What else do you have for me? What more? What more? There is beauty in the depths of a wound so deep and winding like a crack of black lightning through the shell of the Earth on its way to the same core, and the same stars for sure.
